Job summary: The Substitute shall prayerfully assist in helping students develop and mature in
mind, body and soul to the praise and glory of God. Have the ability to
cultivate a love for God’s truth, deliver engaging academics, practice a life of
worship, pursue academic and personal excellence, and foster wholeness in
relationships. Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the
administration or classroom teacher.
Type of position: This is a part time
position that is paid on an hourly basis.
Required Spiritual Qualities
It is expected that the Substitute will....
- Demonstrate
a desire for spiritual growth as evidenced by his or her prayer life, Bible
study, and spiritual outreach to others.
- Be a
Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others (Luke 6:40).
This includes being committed to God’s biblical standards for sexual conduct.
- Have a
conviction that God has led him or her to Christian school ministry.
Required
Professional Qualities
It is expected that the Substitute will....
- Have a
bachelor’s degree (preferred, not required).
- Possess
evidence of other adequate preparation, background, or experience as determined
by the school administrator.
- Be able
to teach a lesson plan provided by the classroom teacher, assist teacher in classroom or manage office duties, depending on what substitute position is being filled.
- Be willing to follow Teaching for Transformation
guidelines in the classroom.
